The ECU Clinic is the only operational health facility serving communities outside Yei Town along the Yei–Maridi road. With a catchment area covering nearly 15 miles in radius, the clinic provides essential healthcare to residents of Tore Payam, parts of Lasu Payam, and the broader Yei River County. Each year, our health officers attend to an estimated 25,000 patients, offering hope and healing to families who would otherwise have no access to medical care.
The clinic’s operations have become increasingly difficult in recent years due to donor scarcity following the shutdown of major aid programs such as USAID. This funding gap has reduced the availability of medical supplies and equipment, while the need for care continues to grow.
At the same time, the community faces a sharp increase in malaria and other waterborne diseases, fueled by limited access to clean water and poor sanitation. Despite these challenges, our committed team continues to serve with compassion, often working with minimal resources to meet the overwhelming demand for care.
In partnership with the Yei River County Health Department, ECU Clinic delivers a range of basic and preventive health services.
The ECU Clinic is more than a health center—it is a beacon of hope for thousands living in rural South Sudan. With renewed donor partnerships and community support, we can continue to provide life-saving services, expand outreach, and strengthen the health resilience of our region.
